Last weekend’s cake delivery was to the Oregon Garden in Silverton, where a cook yelled at me for washing my hands at the handwashing station in the kitchen. It took him longer to yell at me than it took me to wash my hands.

Anyway, here are some photos of the wedding cake (top tier only was real. Rest was foam). There were 90 cupcakes that matched for the guests and 90 sugar cookies that looked like the cake that were given as favors.

For some reason, I did not take a photo of the cookies, which were adorable. I need to ask the bride for one of those.

Now I have a few weeks’ worth of down time to clean up my new kitchen and get it ready for some serious summertime wedding cake production. Plus, my new meeting space has to be prepare for consultations. I went nuts last week buying furnishings for the space. It’s going to be awesome!
